I came across this fallen tree at Reid State Park which was just too dramatic to overlook. The clouds came together in a unique way that almost seems to mimic the exposed roots, and the winter light provided me with many unique shadows and highlights to capture. Filtered by a thin veil of clouds, the sun lined itself up perfectly with the tallest root which seems to resemble a lightning rod photographed during a strike.

I love this! I was married on this beach.I even know the spot this shot was taken from.I can picture the dunes and sea grass behind the camera, the sweet smell of the fuchsia, and white, wild roses, growing on top of the dunes, along the winding paths, to, and from the beach. This is a beautiful photo! I’m so glad to I’ve seen this, it’s perfect.
Ann what a great story…thanks for sharing. There are so many nooks and crannies there so that’s a true testament of your bond with Reid that you recognized this area…I can see why you would want to get married here – beautiful year round…the paths are my favorite
