Summer Solstice

I spent the longest evening of the year walking along the beaches of Reid State Park in complete solitude, watching as the tide slowly filled these small inlets. This lone rock stood out among the waters and seemed to have lined itself up perfectly with the setting sun – something you don’t see unless you walk along the shores during the twilight hours.
